Release Notes:

Valient Thorr dont give a shit whether you think theyre a
Spinal Tap-esque joke, the latest thrash renaissance rip-off
or a bunch of old farts playing too loud. What they do care
about is rocking your face off with a beer-funneling display
of heavy metal/speed punk kickass-ery without all the
pretention, preening or bravado. This is good time party
metal rooted in the classic vibe of seminal bands like
Pentagram, Tytan or Thin Lizzy with hints of the crossover
thrash of S.O.D. and Anthrax. Its a sloppy, keg party-
starting romp as vocalist extraordinaire Valient Himself
wails and howls about lying (Double Crossed), money
(Gillionaire), nightmares (Night Terrors) and the often
tragic irony of dying (Sudden Death is Nothing). The North
Carolina vets launched a decade ago and sound every bit the
club-tested road warriors they are on this, their fifth
release. Theyre not trying to amaze you with guitar heroics
although guitarists Eidan and Sadat Thorr shred more than
ably and theyre not seeking to wow you with complex time
signatures or proggy style shifts. Rather, they want to
bulrush you through the barrooms wood paneling with a
circuit-blowing power surge of boozy hard rock. And they
undeniably do it on their own scuzzy terms.
